About Viclara – History, passion and craftsmanship in the heart of Holstebro

Viclara is one goldsmith in Holstebro, located at Nørregade 6, a building with over 100 years of history and character. It was originally built by Marie Madsen, better known as "Smørmarie", in the early 1900s. In 1908 she wanted to build a first floor, but the municipality demanded that the house be moved back to widen the street. Marie Madsen solved it creatively by building the house as half-timbering, which gave the characteristic facade and the beautiful curved windows that still adorn the street today.

Since In 1908, the building housed a goldsmith's shop, then goldsmith Valdemar Noes started his business in Smørmarie's property. Generations of Holstebro residents have had jewelery made, bought and repaired here for more than a century. This long tradition inspires Viclara to maintain the quality of craftsmanship, while modern design and personal service are the focus.

Viclara – founded by Winni Hougaard Kuipers

Viclara was founded by Winni Hougaard Kuipers, who in 2006 began his journey in the jewelery industry with a jeweler and watchmaker Peter Toft in Holstebro. When Winni took over the business in 2021, she had a clear vision: Viclara should stand out as a modern goldsmith, where classic jewelry and exclusive watches meet elegant accessories.

The name Viclara is a loving combination of Winni's children's names, Victor and Clara, and symbolizes commitment, family values ​​and the desire to create a universe where quality, beauty and personal style meet.
