The material is Mulberry's Waxed Snake Print – an embossed material with a snakeskin effect and a distinctive mottled surface. The material is dyed through first to create the base colour and then embossed to form the snake pattern. A special wax treatment creates the refined two-tone effect, while the subsequent finishing highlights the contrast between the shades and gives the surface its elegant sheen.

At the front, Mulberry Lily closes with the iconic Postman's Lock in brass-finish hardware. The classic hanging leather detail conceals a small padlock and is another of Lily's recognisable design elements.
